Vintage Sterling Flying Fish Viking Craft Brooch, 1930's-1960's, 1.75". Viking Craft was the registered name of Albert Horwig born in the 1896 in South Carolina. He registered the mark Viking Craft in November 1938, which produced primarily sterling brooches and earrings in a Nordic style originally developed by Georg Jensen in Denmark. This features a flying fishing jumping over lapping waves in a circle brooch with open area other than the waves and the fish. It is marked sterling and tested. Weight is appx. 13.53 grams. Also marked registered US Patent Off. This is one of the more rare designs - I saw a basic fish similar to this with three bubbles coming out of it's mouth but did not have the flying wing type fins. Like Georg Jensen, Viking Craft's pieces have a following. They have a Nordic twist to most of the pieces and the fish brooch I just mentioned was selling for $175.00. Very good condition with light oxidation. (INV. W.82121.3X2 SS5549 J ET LD 8/28/21).

We carry mostly vintage jewelry across all themes in my stores and listings. We have our own store and are and have been known as stampshopgirl in Ebay and have been since I think 2003. At one point we had a gift shop/rubber stamping store and switched over to vintage jewelry about six years ago on a full time basis, which also including taking and completing gemology classes as well as jewelry appraisal studies. We carry limited other vintage items and am trying to change our presence to marias vintage and estate treasures. You may see both names until the migration is complete. You can find us on pinterest where all ebay items and other venues are categorized - mariasvinta0654.
WE DO NOT STORE FINE METALS AND GEMSTONES ON PREMISES. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT QUESTIONS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU.
