Victorian 10kt Ruby & Diamond Hinged Bangle Bracelet 7". Monogrammed LMR on the opposite side from the stones. 8.5mm wide. It is marked on the inside slide and signed but cannot make out the mark. Weight is 8.45 gr. Believed to be from appx. 1880's. The ruby stone is appx. 4.5mm set framed inside the bracelet with a 2.5mm diamonds, one on each side. The bracelet is appx. 3mm thick. Stones are an old cut however only one of the clear stones has a cut culet. There is some wear on the ruby, a scratch. Upon research, the closest comparison to this was a 14kt bracelet by Brandt & Son offered at $5,995. There are some differences in that it is more rounded and 14kt. This has flat sides and different sized stones and 14kt and not 10kt as this bracelet is, but the layout is similar and a fair compairson with weight, etc. This has a slide mechanism that opens the bracelet wide for eacy slip-on and remove. The switch is recessed into the frame - easy to open when you push it inward. It is marked 10kt on the inside of the slide and also marked on the one band of the slide - I cannot make it out. It is an older deep mark with what looks like two AA or FF in it, appx. 8 marks that make up the name. Unknown. Very good condition otherwise, especially for the age. The bracelet would benefit from cleaning and polishing and because it is zoomed in it does detract a little bit from just how nice this bracelet is. (INV. W.12223.55X SS6509 J ET LD 1/23/22).
