Edwardian/Victorian 18kt-22kt Enameled Painted Cherub Brooch, late 1800’s into early 1900’s. This is believed to be a European bar pin, with a safety pin design, in the Secessionist style. It is signed on the pin in what appears to be European identifying marks and tests as 22kt but slightly stronger as 18kt. It is yellow gold and weight is appx. 2.99 gr. The pin itself is all made with the same gold metal and on the top, there is a round tiered ½” circle where the blue and white cherub is painted which has also been tested and also tests as 22kt a little less stronger than 18kt. The pin is 1.5” wide with the ½” circle mounted at center. It has some wea . The painting itself is in very good condition especially when you consider it is likely at a minimum of 110 years old, most likely older. (W52122.2X2 SS7729 J ET LD 7/4/22).
