Vintage 10kt Blue Topaz Ring, Sz. 6.5, Buttercup Setting. Yellow gold. The stone is appx. .75 ctw. It is a pale blue topaz set in a buttercup setting that is appx. 9mm round as the setting sits on the top of the finger. The band is appx 3mm at top and tapers to appx. 1.1mm at the back of the finger. The petals around the stone have a textured finish. Six prong hold the stone. This is an older ring from appx. 1930's or possibly older. It is marked 10kt and signed with what looks like VAL O or could be something different. Tests as 10kt gold with a weight of appx. 1.54 gr. The ring is thinner at the back and likely was an engagement ring or worn. There is a scratch on the top of the stone. Good condition with expected vintage wear. Still a very nice ring.
