Vintage 14kt Gold Diamond Engagement Ring, over .40 ctw, sz. 5.5, signed Baumf, 1.74 grams (Baumstein & Feder)

Vintage 14kt Diamond Engagement Ring, 1940's. Signed Baumf for Baumstein and Feder. The stone measures 4.7mm across and about 2.8 mm deep. These are approximate measurements as it is in the setting and I cannot do an exact measurement. That would make the stone a .40 ctw stone. It is set in a setting where there is both 14kt white and yellow gold - the band is yellow and the setting of the stone is white gold. It is held with prongs in the corners. It sits raised above the band. It is marked 10kt and tested - the marking in the band is 01K-the 10 is reversed). Also signed Baumf. This has typical wear but it has lots of life left in it. It is a great quality ring. The diamond is not chipped or scratched. Looking into the stone with 10x magnification I do not see any problems - it is a pretty clean diamond. The setting has pointed designs in the setting - sort of Art Deco-ish. This was not an inexpensive ring back in the day either. This came from a PA estate sale. See photos. Loc.
