Sorry, this item has sold.

14kt Diamond & Sapphire Brooch/Slide Pendant. Estate piece - Victorian/Art Deco - 1900's. This has three appx. 3mm square sapphires set on the edge on the ends and in the middle of the filigree two-tone 14kt brooch. There are old mine cut diamonds between the sapphires. They diamonds are appx. .04 ctw each and the sapphires are .14 ctw each for a total sapphire weight of appx .42 ctw. As this is in the setting it is hard to get exact measures. The diamonds are tested and test as diamonds as do the sapphires. The important thing that dates this pin is the clasp. It is signed 14kt on t he clasp and it has the lower set flip-up lock that dates it to 1900. It is an filigree design with the outside frame yellow gold and the inside white gold and fleur-de-lis accents on each side of the diamonds. In the center of the pin under the center sapphire is a M shaped bale - this brooch could be slide onto a chain or ribbon to create a pendant because of it's length it would still be secured by the pin, unless strung on a ribbon or something thicker that would hold it more in it's place. It is 2.75" long and about 1/3" wide. The sapphires are bezel set and sit up higher on the brooch. It is a true vintage beauty. Weight is 5.61 grams. This came from a PA estate sale. They maker did not sign this piece only the gold mark. See photos. (Lot. Loc. W1/7-2.417.11X - LD 3/19/17)
