Vintage Southwestern Sterling Turquoise Earrings, Screw back - Total length is 2.25" and 5/8" wide and weight is 11.34 grams. Age is 1950's-1960's. This has a button style stud with a drop of a shadow box designed piece with a twisted rope center inside the shadow box and at the end a turquoise nugget set in a sawtooth bezel setting with a rope accent framing the stone at the base. These have a rustic cut back - I believe based on experience and comparison that these are an American Native made pair of earrings - just not sure if they are Navajo or a different tribe. The screw back earring is marked sterling the drops are not but I've tested them. They are in good condition with some wear and could use a thorough cleaning. See photos. These came from a PA estate auction. Lot Loc. No.: W4.2118.G.1X2 - LD-5/7/18.
We carry mostly vintage jewelry across all themes in my stores and listings. We have our own store and are and have been known as stampshopgirl in Ebay and have been since I think 2003. At one point we had a gift shop/rubber stamping store and switched over to vintage jewelry about six years ago on a full time basis, which also including taking and completing gemology classes as well as jewelry appraisal studies. We carry limited other vintage items and am trying to change our presence to marias vintage and estate treasures. You may see both names until the migration is complete. You can find us on pinterest where all ebay items and other venues are categorized - mariasvinta0654.
WE DO NOT STORE FINE METALS AND GEMSTONES ON PREMISES. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT QUESTIONS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU.
Thank you for stopping by, mariasvintage.
